Massimo Borio
Who I am
From corporate boardrooms to executive coaching.
For decades, I worked at senior levels in multinational companies, between marathon meetings and delicate decisions. I learned that true leadership doesn’t live in slides — it lives in relationships.

I trained in the United States and earned the PCC certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Today, I work with managers and organisations across 33 countries and 39 nationalities, in four languages. Each story reminds me how universal leadership challenges truly are.
My career has been an international journey — from marketing and communication to executive roles in major corporations across Paris, Barcelona, and Milan. I’ve experienced first-hand the solitude of leadership, balancing strategy and execution, navigating conflicts, and motivating diverse teams. These experiences taught me that leadership is not just technical — it’s relational, based on listening and the courage to speak the right words at the right time.
After a period in consultancy, I discovered coaching almost by chance — but it became my path. Today, I work alongside executives and entrepreneurs facing the same pressures I once faced: transitions, rebuilding trust, or finding a more human balance between work and life.
Running 9 marathons in NYC taught me that the finish line is reached through preparation, determination, and pacing yourself while always looking ahead.
Philosophy and Values
Walk the Talk: I believe real transformation begins with alignment between what we think and what we do.
That’s why my coaching isn’t about showmanship — it’s about practice: listening, honest dialogue, and tools that turn into lasting habits.
No slogans, just authentic work that leaves a mark.
What Makes Me Unique
A PCC-certified executive coach (ICF) with experience across 33 countries, 39 nationalities, and four languages.
My strength lies in combining three elements: lived managerial experience, international certification, and an empathetic style.
I don’t sell universal formulas — I accompany people through tailored journeys built on trust and tangible actions that last.

Does your managerial experience in multinationals really influence your coaching?
Yes, because every tool and approach I propose comes from what I personally experienced in complex executive roles. This makes my coaching concrete and closely aligned with real business dynamics.
Why did you choose to become a coach?
After years as a manager, I felt the need to give back what I had learned. Coaching allows me to support leaders and teams in an ethical and transformative way, helping them find their own path without imposing standard models.
What values guide your work?
Awareness, authenticity, impact, listening, partnership, and concreteness. These are not abstract words but guiding principles that shape every choice, every journey, and every relationship with clients.
How does your international experience fit with Italian SMEs?
The principles of leadership don’t change with company size. International experience brings vision and tools that are then adapted to the specificities and culture of small and medium-sized enterprises.
